Hi, I'm Beverly Harris, educator, children's author, and founder of BYC Books.

I believe that some of life's most meaningful moments happen when an adult opens a book and a child climbs into their lap. Those quiet moments of reading together become the memories children carry with them long after the story ends.

That belief is why I created BYC Books.

Our mission is simple:

To help children grow in kindness, confidence, gratitude, imagination, and faith through stories that families love to share together.

Every book we publish is created with purpose.

Whether it's the tender bond celebrated in Dear Grandbaby, the playful adventures of The Big Yellow Cat, the encouragement found in What's Good? Gratitude Journal for Kids, or the faith-filled lessons in Really Awesome Jesus, each title is designed to inspire meaningful conversations and joyful moments between children and the people who love them.

As a former educator, I know that books can do much more than entertain. They can encourage curiosity, build character, strengthen literacy, and help children see themselves and others with compassion.

That's why BYC Books continues to grow beyond picture books into journals, learning activities, educational resources, and family experiences that encourage children to learn, imagine, and thrive.
